Why orchids? exquisite, long-lasting flowers borne on elegant, arching stems: An orchid is a symbol of natural beauty, while in bloom the flowers can last between 1 to 3 months unlike fresh flowers which can only last between 3-7 days.

Don’t water your orchid until after one week of receiving it. While in bloom, orchids need very little water. Overwatering can kill the plant. An orchid flower, depending on type, can last anywhere between one to three months. 
Water your orchid once a week, provide a mild, warm and somewhat humid environment. 
Please don't place your orchid in direct sunlight or under direct AC vent.
Once last orchid bloom falls, snip off old flower spikes near the base of the plant. Remove it from the arrangement vase and replant it, preferably, in a clay pot and enjoy it once it flowers again.
